Reversing course from Tuesday’s statement, Honda this morning announced it is suspending production at the Marysville Auto Plant as well as all other plants around Ohio and North America. “Honda will suspend production for six days beginning March 23, with current plans to return to production on Tuesday, March 31,” Honda wrote in a statement this morning. Marysville is looking to make sure every resident gets counted as part of this year’s federal census. Beginning this week, the federal government will be mailing census forms to residents. Brad Bodenmiller, director of Logan-Union-Champaign Planning Commission, was at Marysville City Council’s meeting Monday to talk about the census and its importance. A Marysville teen has been indicted after officials found alleged child pornography at a local high school. The Union County Grand Jury has indicted Bryan Gabriel Loulan, 19, of 625 Wagon Wheel Lane. Loulan is charged with one count each of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor and illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance. In April 2019, Loulan was enrolled at Marysville’s Early College High School. Union County Prosecutor Dave Phillips said Loulan left a USB drive at the school. A former local woman, convicted of her third domestic violence charge, will not be going to prison. In January, Elisabeth Rachel Carver, 43, whose court-listed address is Montpelier, Indiana, pleaded guilty to one count of domestic violence, a felony of the third degree. This week, visiting judge Mark O’Connor sentenced the woman to five years of community control and told her she needed to work it out with the probation department before she could move back to Indiana.
