A local man has been charged in connection with the death of his girlfriend. The Union County Grand Jury has indicted Quentin T. Snodgres, 42, of 8011 Rickard Road, Plain City, charging him with one count of involuntary manslaughter, one count of possession of heroin and two counts of trafficking in heroin. Snodgres and Jennifer Ann Moore, 40, of Plain City were in a relationship. Prosecutors say that on May 17, Snodgres went to Columbus to purchase heroin. At some point, he gave heroin to Moore. The Union County Grand Jury has indicted Jonathan Andrew Rideout, 21, of Delaware, charging him with one count each of improperly discharging a firearm, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and tampering with evidence. Resch, 28, of the Dayton Correctional Institute, pleaded guilty to one count each of retaliation and intimidation of an attorney, victim or witness in a crime. Fresh off the success of the Marysville Bicentennial celebration, city officials are already working on plans to increase the number of community celebrations. A decision last year payed immediate dividends this year for the Triad Local School District. Last year, the Triad Local School District made the decision to 1:1 learning, providing Chromebooks for each student. A Marion man who fought with police and tried to take an officer’s gun is facing charges for the incident. The Union County Grand Jury has indicted Jesse James McClure, 22, of 315 S. High St., Marion. McClure is charged with two counts of assault and one count of aggravated robbery. A Richwood man is dead of an apparent suicide. Michael David Blaine Andrews II, 25, of Richwood, was pronounced dead at 6:07 p.m., Aug. 18, at the cemetery. “Right now, it is looking like it is a suicide — a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head,” said Lance Emberling, an investigator with the Union County Coroner’s Office. Members of the Marysville Finance Committee got some good news at Monday’s meeting. At the meeting, City Finance Director Justin Nahvi reported that last week Marysville received a check for about $1.1 million. He said the money represented the tap fees, or capacity fees, for the apartments on Cooks Pointe Boulevard. When a new water and sewer consumer is constructed, whether it is a single-family home, apartment or business, there is a fee to tap into the city’s water and sewer services. A woman who allegedly attacked her child and another man has been charged. The Union County Grand Jury has indicted Elisabeth Rachel Carver, 43, whose court-listed address is Montpelier, Indiana. According to court documents, about 3 p.m., July 27, police were called to the City of Marysville Municipal Pool. When police arrived, they found Carver who was, according to court documents, “noticeably intoxicated and disorderly.” “She was acting out of line,” said Assistant Union County Prosecutor Rick Rodger.
