Clinton St., was declared dead today at Memorial Hospital in Marysville. A Marysville man has been indicted after he was allegedly paid to beat up another man. The Union County Grand Jury indicted Christopher Coffenberger, 30, of 350 Sycamore St., charging him with one count each of attempted burglary and vandalism. At their first meeting of the year, the Jerome Township Trustees made a series of personnel moves. Following a 45-minute executive session, the trustees voted to offer a 3-percent pay increase for the township’s full-time employees, except for the fire department, which is under a separate contract. Fiscal officer Robert Caldwell said the move would impact two members of the road crew, two members of the zoning department and the township’s administrative specialist. For a sixth time in seven years, Union County has collected record revenue. According to information from the Union County Auditor’s office, in 2018 the county generated $23.94 million dollars. In 2017, the county saw revenue of $23.2 million, a record at the time. County Auditor Andrea Weaver had set the 2018 revenue estimate at $23.37 million. She has set the 2019 revenue estimate at $24.19 million. The record revenue has led to an increase in carryover funds. A group of men are under indictment, the result of their actions during the recent deer-hunting season. The Union County Grand Jury has indicted Anthony L. The Union County Grand Jury has indicted Johnna Ann Carter, 21, whose court-listed address is Sixth Street, Marysville, charging her with one count of trespass in a habitation. A convicted murderer and her son could each be facing prison time soon after a scheme to allegedly sneak a variety of drugs into a local prison. The Union County Grand Jury has indicted Tina McDowell and her son Jerh Walters, charging both with two counts of illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified governmental facility. McDowell is serving a 30-year to life sentence in the Dayton Correctional Institution, convicted of aggravated murder, aggravated robbery and tampering with evidence.
