Delmar Wayne “Del” Farmwald, 71, of Marysville died unexpectedly Monday, April 27, 2020 at his residence. He was born Nov. 26, 1948 in Plain City. He was a hard worker. He worked for Troyer Farms, Hostetler Farms and Kile Elevator. He was most recently employed by Nestle Corporation in Marysville. The Lady Monarch varsity tennis squad slipped to 9-8 on the season with Tuesday’s 3-2 setback at Hilliard Bradley. MHS’ Caroline Geraghty won the third singles match by topping Kennedy, 6-3, 6-1. The Monarch second doubles team of Krista O’Shelski and Caitlee Hill claimed a 6-0, 6-1 verdict over Salin and Tumash. According to Plain City Police Department reports: An officer was dispatched to North Avenue to meet with a caller in reference to a question about custody at 4:37 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9. Upon the officer’s arrival, the caller was not home. The officer then met with the caller near Shepper Avenue. The caller advised that she just received temporary custody of her kids that day and wondered about them walking to and from school. John Thomas Adelsberger, 89, of Marysville died unexpectedly Monday morning at Memorial Hospital. He farmed with his dad and raised his family in Madison County after graduating from Monroe High School in Plumwood in 1947. He also owned and operated Adelsberger Trucking. The Monarch freshman squad will host Grove City, with kickoff set for 6 p.m. The frosh will be the first MHS grid squad to play a home game on a turf field.
