The Triad football team had a rough outing in Week 1 of the season, dropping a 28-6 contest to Benjamin Logan. The Cardinals’ solo score came on a rushing attempt by quarterback Derek Bails. The TD came late in the game and coach Dylan Wears said the only thing his team can do is improve. “Everyone has things to improve across the board,” he said. “There is not really one specific factor to our lack of offense in Week 1.” This week, the Cardinals will move on to Buckeye Central. The North Union football team has put in the long summer days all in anticipation to getting to Week 1 of the new season. This year’s opening game is against a familiar foe.
