The search for a new boys head basketball coach at Fairbanks High School is taking a wider view today. Athletic director Larry Morris stated the position will be opened for external candidates (those outside the school district) from today until May 21. The position has been open to internal candidates already on the district’s teaching staff. “That (May 21) will be the deadline for all applications,” he said. MHS was led by Mark Frendberg (five goals), Braiden Henson (four) and Corey Weinbrecht (three). Goalie Griffin Ahlstrom tallied four saves. Marysville dropped a 23-2 verdict to Dublin Jerome.
