Triad school officials have announced that Adam Moore will become the new boys head basketball coach. Moore’s promotion to the top position within the boys hoop program is pending approval by the school district’s board of education. The board will meet on Thursday, April 28. Moore was a boys basketball coach at Triad Middle School and previously served as the Cardinals’ freshman coach from 2012-2014. Moore was one of 14 applicants for the position that was vacated due to Jason Malone’s resignation. Malone served as the Cardinals’ head coach for the past six seasons. An assistant coach in the Marysville High School boys basketball program is one of two final candidates for the head coaching position at Triad High School. Josh Weikart, who was the Monarchs’ junior varsity coach this past winter, is one of two applicants who is scheduled to meet today with Triad school superintendent Vickie Hoffman.
