Local law enforcement saw a decrease in overall vehicle crashes in 2018, though officials are worried about impaired drivers. According to preliminary numbers from Marysville Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSP) Post Commander Lt. Molly Harris, there were 1,241 crashes in 2018 handled by Union County law enforcement. Non-injury crashes made up 946 of those, while 289 were injury crashes and six were fatal. That compares to 1,320 crashes in 2017, four of which involved fatalities. One area that saw an increase was crashes involving alcohol or drug impairment. In 2018, the OSP alone handled 28 crashes through October last year…
