The Fairbanks FFA chapter had the honor of having state FFA president Ryan Mathews talk to each class April 3.
He taught students about goals in life and how to become a champion. Members were glad to have him come and hope to see him at the state convention in May.
FFA also hosted a petting zoo for the elementary school April 12.
Many children enjoyed seeing different kinds of animals, including horses, cows, chickens, sheep, pigs, bunnies and more. Members are hopeful the elementary students learned more about agriculture and hope they will want to be in FFA when they are old enough.
At the beginning of April, elections were held for the new officer team. New officers include, Travis Dellinger as president, Austin Becker as vice president, Abby Underhill as secretary, Savannah Walls as treasurer, Ayden Adamsas reporter, Autumn Scheiderer as student advisor and Keagan Nicol as sentinel.
The current officer team is very pleased with all of the new officers and is excited to see all of their accomplishments next school year.
