Dear Editor,
I’m writing this because I feel with all the negative going on in the world, more good needs to be brought to light. So, here is a little bit of good.
I live in Mill Valley on Triple Crown Way and on June 30, at around 8:30 p.m., I came across two young men that made me stop everything I was doing and cry.
I had just got home from work and since I was already gross, I decided to plant the rest of my flowers. I’m minding my own business when two boys on bikes, maybe 10 or 11 years old, who I’ve never seen before, yelled “ Hey, HEY! Are you a nurse?” I whipped around fearing the worst and said “yes.”
They quickly replied with “Thank you for everything you do.” That is all it took for me to stop what I was doing, sit in my yard and bawl.
Those two boys had no idea how bad of a week I had, especially with the Covid crisis.
They just made everything OK again. I never got to properly thank them because I was a tad bit emotional, but I appreciated what they said.
Those two kindhearted gentlemen and their sweet words meant more than you could ever imagine. Those two are how I hope my own boys behave when they are that age.
I hope this some how reaches them and their parents. Their parents need to know they have some good kids on their hands and are doing a fantastic job at raising some outstanding men.
