Dear Editor,
The citizens of Union County are despicable, except for the one hundred who attended the police memorial. Surely, they can put down their phones or go away from their computers for a half-hour ceremony. Where were the commissioners and other top officials? Oh, of course, the mayor would have found time if he could have been the star speaker.
These officers make sacrifices daily to protect our home and families. But we cannot spare a half hour of our time to honor them.
You also missed an awesome performance by the North Union Show Choir and the bag piper.
I am proud of Union County, except for today.
