Dear Editor,
I want to take this opportunity to applaud the Letter to the Editor written last week by Vicki Watson.
What a succinct, informative and fact based letter. People far and wide would be well advised to follow her suggestion of doing your own research on the COVID “Vaccinations.”
And allow me to go a few steps further by adding the following:
•Mistruth 1: We were asked to “flatten the curve” for 14 days. A year and a half has gone by and some areas of our country are still “flattening the curve.”
•Mistruth 2: Social distancing, wearing a mask and shutting down most commerce would slow/stop the spread of the virus. The virus is still with us.
•Mistruth 3: The only way to eradicate COVID is by formulating a new vaccine. The still “experimental” vaccines rolled out early this year and the virus is still here.
•Mistruth 4: Getting the vaccine will keep you from contracting the virus. Wrong.
•Mistruth 5: By getting the vaccine you might still get the virus, but you will have a much milder case and not need to be hospitalized (or die). Wrong again.
How many more “mistruths” are the American people willing to believe before they wake up and come to their senses? The virus is here to stay, so if someone feels compelled to get the shot, that’s their business and their right. But I, for one, don’t believe all the mistruths anymore and will thinking for myself just like Vickie Watson.
