Dear Editor,
Wednesday’s headline article announcing Scott’s refusal of a property tax abatement was a first for me. It seems that city councils “giving away the farm” is the only way the game is played these days. And Scotts says we can do without the abatement because the community has been good for us. Hooray!
I only buy a few bags of mulch, and a couple sacks of Turf Builder a year, but from now on if Scotts makes what I need I’ll buy Scotts instead of something that’s 50 cents cheaper. I hope others will feel the same. After all, “If it’s good for Marysville…I’m for it!”
