First English Lutheran Church, 687 London Ave., will observe Holy week in the following ways:
On Palm Sunday, April 14, at 10:30 a.m., the church will hold a palm procession with the Kid’s Choir joining the Chancel Choir and congregation for an anthem. The Gospel according to St. Luke will be presented interactively.
On Maundy Thursday, April 18, at 7 p.m., the church will hold an educational workshop service that will explain Jesus’ Passover meal with his disciples differently. After communing each other in the Gathering Space, the Chancel Choir will musically lead a transition into the stripping of the chancel as church members observe Jesus’ time in the garden in preparation for Good Friday.
On Good Friday, April 19, at 7 p.m., the church will observe the death of Christ through solemn reproaches and a Tenebrae Cantata, “It is Finished,” presented by the Chancel Choir with congregational participation. Carolyn English will serve as conductor and Audrey Ervin will serve as accompanist. This work is composed by Mary McDonald and will be narrated by John Shealey. It includes both new and familiar music and hymn tunes.
On Saturday, April 20, an Easter egg hunt will be held at 9:30 a.m. and an Easter Vigil with Affirmation of Baptism begins at 7 p.m.
On Easter, Sunday, April 21, Sonrise Service will begin at 6:30 a.m. and will emphasize the tying of Easter to Christmas. Easter breakfast will be at 8 a.m. and Kid’s Choir at 9 a.m. At 9:15 a.m., all will meet in the sanctuary for an introduction to the Marysville Area Ministerial Association community Easter season theme, LoveYouSee, and Easter hymns will be sung. At 10 a.m., Chancel Choir and Fellowship will meet in preparation for the Festival Worship Service for the Resurrection of Our Lord at 10:30 a.m.

Raymond Church of Christ in Christian Union will observe Holy week in the following ways:
On Palm Sunday, April 14, at 10:30 a.m., the church will hold a Service Celebration of the Lord’s Supper.
There will be no midweek services April 17.
On Good Friday, April 19, at 7 p.m., the church will hold services.
On Saturday, April 20, a Resurrection egg party for children 12 and younger will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

On Saturday, April 13, the church will host a community-wide Easter egg scramble promptly at 11 a.m. at the Marysville High School practice field. Children, up to sixth grade are invited to join in the free event. Participants are asked to bring a canned food item to donate to the Marysville Food Pantry. A service will be held at 5 p.m. in the Gathering Space.
