Area Holy Week services listed

First English Lutheran Church, 687 London Ave., will observe Holy week in the following ways:
On Palm Sunday, April 14, at 10:30 a.m., the church will hold a palm procession with the Kid’s Choir joining the Chancel Choir and congregation for an anthem. The Gospel according to St. Luke will be presented interactively.
On Maundy Thursday, April 18, at 7 p.m., the church will hold an educational workshop service that will explain Jesus’ Passover meal with his disciples differently. After communing each other in the Gathering Space, the Chancel Choir will musically lead a transition into the stripping of the chancel as church members observe Jesus’ time in the garden in preparation for Good Friday.
On Good Friday, April 19, at 7 p.m., the church will observe the death of Christ through solemn reproaches and a Tenebrae Cantata, “It is Finished,” presented by the Chancel Choir with congregational participation. Carolyn English will serve as conductor and Audrey Ervin will serve as accompanist. This work is composed by Mary McDonald and will be narrated by John Shealey. It includes both new and familiar music and hymn tunes.
On Saturday, April 20, an Easter egg hunt will be held at 9:30 a.m. and an Easter Vigil with Affirmation of Baptism begins at 7 p.m.
On Easter, Sunday, April 21, Sonrise Service will begin at 6:30 a.m. and will emphasize the tying of Easter to Christmas. Easter breakfast will be at 8 a.m. and Kid’s Choir at 9 a.m. At 9:15 a.m., all will meet in the sanctuary for an introduction to the Marysville Area Ministerial Association community Easter season theme, LoveYouSee, and Easter hymns will be sung. At 10 a.m., Chancel Choir and Fellowship will meet in preparation for the Festival Worship Service for the Resurrection of Our Lord at 10:30 a.m.
The public is warmly invited to all services and activities.
Raymond Church of Christ in Christian Union will observe Holy week in the following ways:
On Palm Sunday, April 14, at 10:30 a.m., the church will hold a Service Celebration of the Lord’s Supper.
There will be no midweek services April 17.
On Good Friday, April 19, at 7 p.m., the church will hold services.
On Saturday, April 20, a Resurrection egg party for children 12 and younger will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
On Easter, Sunday, April 21, the church will hold a Sunrise Service at 7:30 a.m., with breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Sunday School will be held at 9:30 a.m. with Worship services following at 10:30 a.m. There will be no evening service.
Christian Assembly Church, 1003 N. Maple St., will observe Holy week in the following ways:
On Good Friday, April 19, at 7 p.m., the church will conduct communion services.
On Easter, Sunday, April 21, the church will hold a Sunrise Service at 7 a.m., with breakfast to follow at 7:30 a.m. Worship services will begin at 10:30 a.m.
Trinity Lutheran Church will observe Holy week in the following ways:
On Palm Sunday, April 14, Worship services will be held at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Family Worship will be held at 6:30 p.m., Stations of the Cross, led by Restore(d) Youth Group.
On Wednesday, April 17, Healing Worship will be held at 4:30 p.m. and at 6:30 p.m.
On Thursday, April 18, Maundy Thursday Worship will begin at 7 p.m.
On Good Friday, April 19, at 7 p.m., the church will Worship at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, April 20, an Easter egg hunt will be held at 10 a.m. in Cana Hall. The Rock the Run 5K/10K will also be held at the Jim Simmons Trail to benefit Vacation Bible School.
On Easter, Sunday, April 21, the church will hold a breakfast in the school cafeteria between 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Worship service will be held at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Unionville Center United Methodist Church will observe Holy week in the following ways:
On Maundy Thursday, April 18, at 6 p.m., the church will hold service.
On Saturday, April 20, at 11 a.m., the annual Easter egg hunt will be held for area children 11 years old and younger.11 and under will be on Saturday, April 20 at 11 a.m. at the Unionville Center United Methodist Church.
First Presbyterian Church will observe Holy week in the following ways:
On Palm Sunday, April 14, at 10:30 a.m., service will feature Mark Hare and Jenny Bent, PC (USA) Mission Coworkers from Dominican Republic and Haiti.
On Maundy Thursday, April 18, a potluck dinner will be held at 6 p.m., with worship & table fellowship with Communion at 7 p.m.
On Easter, Sunday, April 21, the church will hold a breakfast and egg hunt at 9 a.m. Worship service will begin at 10:30 a.m.
Marysville Nazarene Church will observe Holy week in the following ways:
On Easter, Sunday, April 21, the church will hold worship services at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. An Easter breakfast will be held at 9:45 a.m.
Living Hope Church, 16701 Square Dr., will observe Holy week in the following ways:
On Palm Sunday, April 14, at 10:30 a.m., the church will host worship services. This service will also celebrate the church’s 10-year anniversary.
On Easter, Sunday, April 21, the church will hold worship services at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
The Vine Church of Marysville will observe Holy week in the following ways:
On Palm Sunday, April 14, the church will worship at 10:30 a.m. with children’s service at 10:45 a.m.
On Easter, Sunday, April 21, the community is invited to celebrate that, “He is Risen.” A free pancake breakfast will be held at 9 a.m.
The community is invited to come to the breakfast and bring family and friends as, “there is always room at the table.” Worship service will be held at 10:30 a.m. with children’s service and a special celebration at 10:45 a.m.
St. John’s Lutheran Church will observe Holy week in the following ways:
On Palm Sunday, April 14, the church will hold a Youth Confirmation Worship Service at 9 a.m. in the church sanctuary. An Out Abounds Contemporary Worship Service with Praise Band will be held at 11 a.m. in the church sanctuary.
On Maundy Thursday, April 18, a traditional worship service, with Communion, will be held at 4 p.m. in the church sanctuary. A traditional worship service with First Holy Communion for Youth Confirmands will be held at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary.
On Good Friday, April 19, at 7 p.m., a Tenebrae service, “Service of Darkness,” will be held.
On Saturday, April 20, at 6 p.m., a Holy Saturday Worship Service with Communion will be held in the church sanctuary.
On Easter, Sunday, April 21, a traditional worship service with Communion in the church sanctuary at 9 a.m. An Easter egg hunt for children up to sixth grade will be held at 10 a.m. with a family Easter breakfast at 10:15 a.m. An Out Abounds Contemporary Worship Service with Praise Band and with Communion will be held in the church sanctuary at 11 a.m.
Jerome Church will observe Holy week in the following ways:
On Palm Sunday, April 14, the church will host worship services at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. with children’s palm processional.
On Good Friday, April 19, at 7 p.m., the church will host a worship service.
On Easter, Sunday, April 21, both the traditional and contemporary worship services will be held at 9 a.m. and at 10:30 a.m.
Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church will observe Holy week in the following ways:
On Saturday, April 13, at 4:30 p.m., the church will host a Palm Sunday service.
On Palm Sunday, April 14, Mass will be held at 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
On Holy Thursday, April 18, at 7 p.m., a Mass will be held.
On Good Friday, April 19, at noon, the church will hold a Mass.
On Saturday, April 20, at 8 p.m., an Easter vigil will be held.
On Easter, Sunday, April 21, Easter Mass will be held at 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
Marysville Grace will observe Holy week in the following ways:
On Saturday, April 13, the church will host a community-wide Easter egg scramble promptly at 11 a.m. at the Marysville High School practice field. Children, up to sixth grade are invited to join in the free event. Participants are asked to bring a canned food item to donate to the Marysville Food Pantry. A service will be held at 5 p.m. in the Gathering Space.
On Palm Sunday, April 14, services will be held at 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.
On Saturday, April 20, at 5 p.m., service will be held.
On Easter, Sunday, April 21, services will be held at 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.
First United Methodist Church will observe Holy week in the following ways:
On Saturday, April 13, at 4 p.m., the Easter Pageant will be held.
On Palm Sunday, April 14, a prayer time will be held at 8 a.m. Sunday School for all ages will begin at 9 a.m., followed by concurrent contemporary and traditional services at 10 a.m. A healing and prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
On Maundy Thursday, April 18, at 7 p.m., a service will be held.
On Good Friday, April 19, a community Good Friday service will be held at noon with another service at 7 p.m.
On Easter, Sunday, April 21, Easter Service will be held at 8:30 a.m. An Easter in the Pavilion service will be held at 10 a.m.
