A pair of tractor trailer trucks collided shortly after 2 p.m. Tuesday on the U.S. 42 bypass around Plain City. Officials said a vehicle on the bypass made a quick U-turn in the road, using a small pull off area. Officials said a truck, traveling south on the bypass, was stopped automatically by the vehicle’s crash avoidance system. A second truck, also traveling south behind the first truck, was not able to stop in time, crashing into the rear of the trailer attached to the first truck. A portion of the bypass was closed for a time while the crash scene was cleared. Officials said there were no injuries from the crash. Additionally, at the scene officials said there were no citations filed.
