Hundreds of families and children received gifts Sunday during Care Train of Union County’s annual “Distribution Day.” Volunteers gathered at the National Guard Armory to play the role of Santa’s elves for a day. Rows of wrapped presents and bicycles were organized by number, each representing a specific family, to ensure each child received a gift on their list. Pictured are volunteers locating gifts for children and families waiting outside. The organization helped provide gifts to 351 families with children and 664 children this year, according to Executive Director Pam Sturwold. (Journal-Tribune photos by Kayleen Petrovia)
