Chandler Pauk attains rank of Eagle Scout

Chandler Pauk, 17, recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.
His eagle scout project included leading a team of scouts to refurbish a 30-foot bridge in one of the Marysville City Parks.
He’s a second-generation boy scout and a junior at Maryville High School. His parents are John and Candy Pauk of Marysville and he’s the nephew of the late Kenny Pauk of Hilliard, and the grandson of Larry R. and the late Kristi Miller of Byesville. He is also the grandson of the late John and Chloe Pauk of Hilliard.
For much of his scouting career he was a member of Troop 101, which is chartered through the First United Methodist Church on Court Street. He’s been involved in scouting for eight years, starting in 2010 as a Webelo with Cub Scout Pack 644 in Marysville.
He’s earned 46 merit badges and five eagle palms.
He’s still active in scouting “offering his leadership to fellow scouts, and plans to earn a few more merit badges before he turns 18 later in 2018,” reads an email from his father. He also reportedly plans to become an adult leader.
To give back to Boy Scouts of America (BSA), he is looking to help found a new troop in Marysville. The troops will accept both male and female members.
His achievement of the rank of Eagle Scout will be celebrated later this year. The invited special guest speaker will be Scout Master Emeritus John Eufinger.
