Elizabeth Ohl, the 2018 Distinguished Young Women winner from Ohio, is shown speaking to a committee meeting for the program Monday night at the Marysville Public Library. Ohl shared her experiences from the national competition held last month in Mobile, Alabama. Union County is the new state home for the competition, formerly known as the Junior Miss Program, that celebrates the accomplishments of young women in scholastics, healthy living and creativity. The competition will be held Nov. 10-11 at Veteran’s Auditorium in Marysville. “This is an opportunity and honor for Union County to open up our facilities and carry on this tradition,” Union County Commissioner Steve Stolte said.
