Pictured above, Marysville made history Friday night as four members of Homecoming royalty were crowned prior to the football game against Westland. The local district holds high school classes at the Marysville High School (MHS) and the Early College High School (ECHS) so district officials opted to allow Homecoming courts from both to be selected. Those tapped as Homecoming royalty pictured above are, from left to right, ECHS King Matt Chalmers, MHS King Parker Kuzma, MHS Queen Phylyn Forrider and ECHS Queen Megan Shoemaker. The Monarchs won the game 27-6 over the Cougars. For the full game story for Marysville and all the other local high school games see pages 1B and 2B of today’s newspaper. Additional photos can be found on page 6B of Saturdays Marysville Journal-Tribune.
