A cyclist was injured after running a stop sign and being hit by a car Monday at 3:57 p.m. at Collins Avenue and Maple Street. According to a preliminary police report, a 2014 Ford was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection when a juvenile cyclist failed to stop and drove in front of the Ford. The driver of the vehicle, Shirley Daniel, 77, of Coventry Way, was reportedly proceeding legally through the intersection. The cyclist was taken to Memorial Hospital by Marysville EMS.
