The Union County Concert Association will welcome Denny Diamond and the Jewels, who will present a “Tribute to Neil Diamond.”
The concert will take place at the Marysville High School Auditorium on Thursday Sept. 12, at 7:30 PM.
Award winning artist, Denny “Diamond” Svehla, will showcase the opening of the season. Since 1999, he has developed a versatile, multifaceted tribute to Neil Diamond. With his baritone voice, he is able to sound like Neil himself.
Svehla’s “Tribute to Neil Diamond” has been a much sought after show nationwide. He has received critical acclaim and positive reception wherever he has traveled. Although Neil Diamond is his core inspiration, he is also inspired by Tom Jones, Barry Manilow, Dean Martin and Ray Charles.
In 2016, for the song “Diamond Mountain,” Svehla received an award for the Akedemia for Best Cover/Folk Song. He continues to compose, create and innovate each year. More information can be found at dennydiamond.com.
Brochures advertising the season can be found at the library or online. Season tickets are now on sale at individual or sponsorship levels. Tickets are available at the door or through the association website.
