According to the Marysville Division of Police, downed power lines caused an outage in the area of Route 31 at approximately 11:30 a.m. Friday. Pictured above is a 2000 Mack truck, driven by John McEvoy, 60, of Rushsylvania, which was unloading rocks outside of Woodside Veterinary Hospital when the bed of the truck snagged a powerline. Dayton Power and Light (DP&L) assisted with restoring power. According to DP&L, power within a three to five-mile radius of the city lost power at 11:30 a.m., impacting approximately 2,759 people. DP&L officials restored power at 12:25 p.m. Traffic was reopened at 12:27 p.m.
