Elks donate to Blessings in a Backpack

The Marysville Elks Lodge recently presented a check for $3,500 to the Blessings in a Backpack program for the Marysville schools. The money will be used to purchase food items to include in the backpacks that are sent home with students on the weekends. Program Coordinator Amy Zwiezinski said that because of COVID-19 and students remotely learning, there is an increased need for the backpacks. The program is now serving more than 245 students per week. Pictured above, from left to right, are Lodge Grants Chairman Kermit Morse, Zwiezinski, and lodge President Billie Jo Humble.
