Fairbanks dedicates new sign

Janet Shonebarger, in the red vest, and Bonnie Schoby stand Wednesday morning after unveiling a new electronic sign dedicated to two Fairbanks alumni and army veterans. Specialist David Herbert Fisher and Sergeant William Edward Price were killed in action during the Vietnam War. Fisher was killed in action on Oct. 22, 1968 and Price was killed in action on March 14, 1968. The sign was funded by donations from Shonebarger, who was married to Fisher, Schoby, who is a family member of Price and the Fairbanks PTO, as well as leftover funds from the classes of 2013, 2014 and 2015.
