The City of Marysville City Council has narrowed down who it wants to fill a vacant council seat to two candidates.
Members invited Scott Brock, of Arabian Circle, and Scott Zweizinski, of Clydesdale Way, back to council’s regular meeting Monday, Jan. 14 for further interviews.
The seat opened this year after Tracy Richardson won November’s race to be Representative for Ohio’s 86th District.
Brock is the current CIO of the Ohio Development Services Agency, and was the City of Marysville director of information technology from 2010 to 2012. Zweizinski is the current Court Services Coodinator and counselor at West Central Correctional Facility. He’s also been on the Board of Zoning Appeals since 2012.
Council began interviews at 6 p.m., and came out of executive session at about 9 p.m. to invite Brock and Zweizinski back.
Mayor J.R. Rausch urged the other candidates to run once the vacant seat is up for election. He noted that every candidate interviewed would have worked well with council.
