Through the typical summer, Union County skies host World War II era planes, hot air balloons, stunt planes and a variety of other aircraft. Low flying planes are a common sight recently around the farms of Union County. Farmers will hire pilots to use their planes to apply liquid insecticide or fertilizer to crops by air, meaning the crops are not disturbed by the application. This plane was spotted Monday along Scottslawn Road.
