Two people were injured as a result of a head-on collision Tuesday at 3:38 p.m. on U.S. 33 westbound near mile post six.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, William Craig, 21, of Westchester was driving eastbound on U.S. 33 in a 2014 Chevy Camaro. According to OSP, Craig was distracted by his cell phone and drifted into the right lane. Craig then swerved left and overcorrected, striking a 2005 Lincoln Town Car, also eastbound, driven by Kenneth Rausch, 29, of Marysville.
Both vehicles then crossed over the median into westbound traffic and Craig’s vehicle struck a 2014 Honda Accord head-on, driven by Matthew Slusser, 24, of Columbus.
Slusser sustained serious injuries and was transported to the Ohio State Medical Center in Columbus by MedFlight. Craig sustained minor injuries and Rausch received no injures.
