Members of Jonathan Alder’s volleyball team pile on in celebration after winning the Division II regional championship last Saturday at Pickerington North High School. The Lady Pioneers will travel to Vandalia-Butler High School for the state tournament. JA will face Chardon Notre Dame Cathedral-Latin during a state semifinal match on Friday at 10 a.m. A victory would put Alder into the state championship match against either Tipp City Tippecanoe or Gates Mills Gilmour Academy (the opponents during the other semifinal match) on Sunday at 9 a.m. A preview of the Jonathan Alder-Cathedral-Latin match may be found on page 12 of today’s Journal-Tribune.
