The 79 soldiers of Battery C, 1-174th Field Artillery will return from their deployment to Europe on Friday.
They left Marysville in September as part of a NATO exercise which took them from Germany, Poland, and then up into the Baltic Countries of Latvia and Estonia.
The soldiers will link up with their families at the Marysville High School at approximately 10 p.m. Friday.
The public is being asked to turn out along Amrine Mill Road, from Route 31 to the high school, to welcome the soldiers home and to show appreciation for their service and sacrifice. The public is asked to be in place by 9:30 p.m.
The Union County Military Family Support Group will be passing out small flags along the route.
The public is asked to not go back to the high school, leaving that area free for the soldiers’ families.
The general public is asked to park at the STEM School parking lot or at the football field parking area.
