It was a different kind of graduation ceremony Saturday as more than 400 Marysville seniors capped off their high school careers. The event held at the Marysville High School football stadium saw graduates and their families line up in vehicles to await their turn to be honored. Graduates and their family and friends, all in one vehicle, were to arrive at the facility at a predetermined time. The graduates, wearing masks, were the only ones allowed to exit the vehicle, and walk to the nearby endzone as their name were read and they were presented their diplomas. They were allowed to remove their mask for a professional photograph. Family and friends had a view of the event from their vehicles. In the photo above, Haley Cook poses for a photograph after receiving her diploma. Below, a line of vehicles containing graduates and families wait their turn. (Photos submitted)
