Friday night, for the first time, a high school football game was held at Marysville’s stadium that did not begin with the words “this is Monarch country” over the public address system. School crews removed this week’s snow from the field so that Springfield could play Dublin Jerome in the second round of the Division I football playoffs. The game marked the first time Marysville has served as a neutral site for a state playoff game. Springfield won the game 37-14.
