Former Poison frontman Bret Michaels brought his high energy show to Marysville’s All Ohio Balloon Fest Thursday night. The concert at the Union County Airport served as the 2016 kickoff to the festival. Although the concert went off without a hitch, high winds did not allow the balloons to launch or glow for safety reasons. The Balloon Fest continues tonight where The Voice winner Cassadee Pope takes the stage at 8 p.m. Central Ohio country band Jacked Up will open the show at 5:30 p.m. A balloon launch and glow are planned again tonight weather permitting. The fest continues on Saturday with Blue Kuda, Chapel Hill and Bon Journey taking the stage beginning at 3 p.m. A weekend pass, covering both days, is available for $10 and children under 12 are admitted free. Patrons are also reminded that a new, second entrance off Weaver Road has been added to help with traffic congestion issues which cropped up in previous years. More pictures can be seen on page two of the Friday’s Marysville Journal-Tribune.
