Children in Plain City can receive a personal letter from Santa. Children can create the letters, or even use one of the templates on the village website, and then take them to Santa’s mailbox, in the village Flatiron. Parents and children are encouraged to include a return address on the letter so they can receive a personal response from Santa or his elves.

Pretty Pastime Park
Plain City has decorated the village’s Pastime Park. Officials hope this year’s decorations serve as the base for a light display that gets bigger and better each year. Participants can enjoy a walking or drive-through experience to see all the lights and characters in the park. Additionally, there is a story walk associated with the lighted path and a treasure hunt in the park. Evening viewing begins at 5 p.m. nightly. At the center of the park is the village gazebo, shown above, which offers the classic Christmas tree celebration.

Village Tree lighting
Plain City’s Uptown is ready for the holidays. Many of the businesses are decorated and the tree in the Flatiron is officially lit. The Uptown Plain City Organization’s annual Christmas Under the Clock celebration went virtual due to COVID-19 restrictions, and Friday’s tree lighting ceremony was livestreamed on a variety of platforms.
