Emergency crews are pictured above cleaning up a car crash involving a 2015 Ford Focus and two commercial trucks at the intersection of U.S. 42 and Jerome Road on Wednesday morning. According to the Union County Sheriff’s Office, at 10:51 a.m. the Focus, driven by Carl D. Farley, 67, of Columbus, struck a 2016 Freightliner semi truck, driven by Anthony Schneider, 53, of Baltimore, and then struck a 2013 Kenworth dump truck, driven by Jeffrey Dyre, 37, of Thornville. Farley was transported Riverside Methodist Hospital and was issued a citation for a right of way violation. Deputies and units from the Jerome Township Fire Department, Concord Township Fire Department, Pleasant Valley Joint Fire District, Union County Emergency Management, Ohio State Highway Patrol and Ohio Department of Transportation responded to the scene.
