The Village of Plain City is seeking participants for its upcoming Fourth of July parade and celebration.
The parade will begin at 3 p.m. July 4.
Those interested in participating in the parade are required to register in advance. Registrations must be received by 2 p.m. July 2 in order to be entered in the parade.
Registrants will be entered into judging for the award competition and their organization will be announced during the parade.
Awards will be given for most patriotic, best youth entry, best float and best animal entry.

Mayor Jody Carney is also accepting nominations for Grand Marshal.
Residents who would like to nominate someone who is deserving of the position may do so by filling out an application, available on www.plain-city.com under the Parks and Recreation tab.
The parade is part of a larger celebration that will begin at noon with food, games and bounce houses at Pastime Park. Live musical acts will perform from 7-9:45 p.m., followed by a fireworks show to round out the night.
