Mechanicsburg Police are looking for a suspect involved in a theft in North Lewisburg.
According to police reports, the suspect was seated in a Subway restaurant on Maple Street Tuesday afternoon just after 3 p.m. when he began “acting suspicious.”
“When all the employees went to the back of the restaurant and no one was up front, he ran to the tip jar,” said Capt. Scott Bodey of Mechanicsburg Police. “He grabbed all but $2 out of the jar.”
Bodey said the total amount was likely less than $20.
Information was posted on the department’s social media pages and the suspect was quickly identified. Police have yet to make contact with the man but Bodey said they would likely speak with him today.
