Tony Hernandez, on the ground, and Jack King, with Miller Cable Company, work to hang cable across Route 31, just south of the U.S. 33 exit ramps Wednesday afternoon. The lines will feed a set of traffic lights at the intersection. The work is part of series of Ohio Department of Transportation improvements to the Route 31 Bridge to be made over the next year. During these improvements, traffic will be limited to a single lane in each direction through the work zone, with temporary traffic lights installed to direct motorists. According to city officials, the project is entirely funded by ODOT.
