Scottslawn Road, from Route 736 to the area between the Heritage grain facility entrance and the railroad crossing at the Scotts plant, closed Monday so work on the road could begin. The road will be widened and resurfaced. It will include the addition of moving utility poles and new turn lanes as well as a minor curve realignment. Officials say construction will be done in two phases — Route 736 to Weaver Road, should be done by the beginning of August, and Weaver to the Heritage entrance, which is scheduled to be completed by the beginning of October, depending on the weather factors.
