Plain City streets will be bustling Saturday during the annual Rock the Clock concert.
The 2021 lineup kicks off with Jacked Up Band at 5 p.m. followed by Naked Karate Girls at 6:45 p.m. Headliner Drew Parker will take the stage at 10:15 p.m.
Those in attendance should bring their own lawn chairs.
Other attractions will be in the Uptown district throughout the day.
Food and drink vendors will begin service at 4 p.m. All proceeds from pizza sales will benefit the Jonathan Alder High School softball team.
Free children’s bounce houses, face painting and balloon artists will be at the event from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.
In preparation for the event, residents should be aware of several street closures.
West Main Street between North Chillicothe and Maple streets (in front of The Grainery) will close at 9 a.m. to set up the stage.
The perimeter area will close at noon.
There will be free parking in several separate areas.
Parking will be available at the old elementary school, the public parking lots on North Chillicothe and near Washington Avenue, the library, Izzard’s Ball House and Bindery, Ferguson Funeral Home and Tobin’s.
A shuttle will also be available to and from the Pastime Park area with free parking.
Parking is also approved behind the “road closed” signs, but drivers are asked to park at an angle to allow for more spaces.
Event organizers also ask that those who live near the event consider walking to save parking spots for those who must drive.
