Officials Friday morning were still cleaning the scene of an accident hours after it occurred.
Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a single-vehicle semi crash on U.S. 33 eastbound between Route 245 and Raymond Road, around 3 a.m. Friday.
Thomas Reinsmith, 67, of Beaver was driving a 1998 semi-truck near mile marker 8 when he attempted to negotiate a curve, according to officials.
His vehicle then overturned and lost the load it was carrying.
Troopers said the semi-truck was transporting steel coils in its load.
The semi-truck itself eventually came to rest on the roadway, obstructing traffic, while the trailer stopped off the right side of U.S. 33.
Reinsmith was initially transported to UCMH and then transported to Ohio State Medical Center. Officials did not know the extent of his injuries, but said they did not believe he had been released from the hospital yet.
He did not have any passengers in his vehicle and was the only person injured in the incident.
Only the initial incident report was available, which officials said did not currently list any citations.
Officials said the lost load was still being removed from the site of the incident, until the road reopened at approximately 9:30 a.m. Friday.
