Students on summer break will not need to worry about missing out on lunch while they aren’t at school.
The Marysville Public Library and Marysville Exempted Village School district will offer free lunches to those 18 and under every weekday starting today.
The program will run on Mondays through Fridays through July 26.
Students can stop by Partners Park, next to the Marysville Public Library, 321 S. Plum St., from noon to 12:45 p.m. for their meal.
The library is also seeking volunteers to ensure the program runs smoothly.
Those interested can sign up for a volunteer shift serving lunches by visiting https://signup.com/go/SvghApY.
Volunteers are asked to meet on the Sixth Street side of the Partners Park Pavilion at 11:45 a.m.
Adults are also needed to help load the van at Marysville High School.
Representatives from the program said it should only take between 15-20 minutes to do so. Those who sign up to volunteer should meet at the loading dock at Marysville High School, across from the tennis courts.
Volunteers will start loading the van at 11:20 a.m.
Any volunteers with questions should contact Ali Parthemore at aparthemore@marysvillelib.org.
