Suspect leaps counter, steals drugs at Kroger

Marysville Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who robbed the pharmacy at the Kroger Marketplace on West Fifth Street Monday.
According to a release from the Marysville Police Department, at 5:37 p.m. a black male jumped the counter at the pharmacy and stole medication. He was wearing a white t-shirt, dark blue athletic shorts with a white stripe, white socks and black shoes.
According to Police Chief Floyd Golden, the stolen medicine was, “A couple bottles of narcotics.”
“Promethazine with Codeine,” he said in a message.
Golden said nobody was hurt. The man reportedly bumped into an employee jumping back over the counter.
According to the release, no weapon was “used or implied.”
The man fled to the Kroger gas station and entered a gray or silver four-door sedan, possibly a 1998 to 2004 Hyundai Sonata. He fled west on West Fifth Street.
