A variety of roads, mostly in western Union County, were closed Friday due to high water and flooding. First responders are urging drivers to use caution and not cross water-covered roads. Drivers who get to a flooded road, whether it is closed or not, should turn around. Above, Dep. J. Matejko of the Union County Sheriff’s Office is stationed on closed Route 245 near West Darby Road, which is also closed. Officials are saying U.S. 36 should be reopened later today, but Route 245 could be closed through the weekend.
