Village officials are asking residents to be aware that they will be conducting regular hydrant flushing early next week.
Plain City Administrative Assistant Heidi Baldwin said hydrant flushing will begin Monday, Sept. 21 and end Wednesday, Sept. 23.
“Flushing is necessary to provide the best quality water year-round to our residents,” she said.
Residences in the northern portion of the village, north of Jackson Street along E. and W. Main Streets, will be affected Monday.
Tuesday, flushing will occur in the southeast area of Plain City, east of U.S. 42 and north of the Elementary School area.
It will wrap up Wednesday, between Lafayette-Plain City Road and Maple Street.
Baldwin said residents can expect possible discoloration of water and a possible drop in water pressure, “which will clear up as we move out of the areas.”
She said residents should refrain from washing their clothes until the water begins to run clear again.
