The annual Union County Voice From the Stone ceremony was held Sunday afternoon at the First Presbyterian Church at Court and Fifth streets and finished across the street in front of the courthouse. Since this year’s ceremony took place on the 100-year anniversary of the end of World War I, officials honored Union County soldiers lost in that conflict. The main honoree was Ralph Ewing, who died in the war. Pictured above praying during the benediction are, from left, Army veteran Dick Trout, Navy veteran Gene Meechan, Marine veteran Pete Fizer and Army veteran George Andrews.
