Barbara Hinton Drebena, 79, of Marysville and formerly of Aurora, Colorado died Friday morning, Dec. 20, at Bluebird Retirement Community of Marysville following an extended illness.
She was a graduate of Union Local High School in Milford Center and received a bachelor degree in education at Ohio State University. She spent her working years as a school teacher in Evanston, Illinois and the Denver, Colorado area.
She and her husband Michael were active explorers of the Rocky Mountains area, as well as avid Ohio State Buckeyes fans. While in Aurora, she was an active member of the Cornerstone Community Church.
She was born in Georgetown, Ohio on Aug. 4, 1940 to the late Hubert and Ruth Hinton. She was also preceded in death by her husband.
She is survived by her sisters, Joyce Hinton of Milford Center and Cathy Burns of Plain City.
A private family service will be held at a later date with burial to be held in Colorado.
