Benjamin M. Hauer, 43, of Marysville died unexpectedly Friday morning, May 17, 2019, at his place of employment.
A mechanic by trade, he enjoyed working on things, especially his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was an incredible songwriter and musician throughout his life, and carried an immense love for music.
He was a free spirit – he had a big heart and he loved helping people. His daughter, Celeste, was his whole life and he lovingly called her “Tookus” – she was everything to him.
He was born April 27, 1976, in Columbus to Richard and Sherri Roark Hauer.
He married the former Malica “Missy” Perry on Oct. 5, 1996, in Ostrander. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, their daughter Celeste Hauer, his mother Sherri and father Richard, siblings Hannah Hauer of Ostrander and Daniel (Christina) Hauer of Denver, Colorado, niece Amelia Hauer, maternal grandmother M. Ruth Roark, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home.
