Betsy A. Lowry, 70, of Richwood died unexpectedly Sunday morning, Oct. 11 at OSU Hospital in Columbus with her family at her side.
A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she lived for her family and caring for them. She especially enjoyed the company of her grandchildren.
She was born March 23, 1950 at the family home in Stock Creek, Ohio by her father during a snow storm.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George M. and Lucille Walker Ison.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, James A. Lowry, whom she married at the home of the groom’s parents on March 22, 1986. She is also survived by their children, Sandra Michael and Stephanie Johnson (Carl Pavey) both of Knoxville, Tennessee, Jennifer (Drew) Rensing of Kenton and Teffany Lowry of Richwood; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; siblings, Keith Ison of Indiana, Randy (Malea) Ison of Beaver, Butch (Wilma) Ison of Washington Court House and Linda (Tommy) Bunch of Arkansas.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, Oct. 16 from 2-4 p.m. at the Liberty Township Hall in Raymond where masks and social distancing are preferred.
