Bette J. Kasper, 89, of Marysville died Wednesday morning, March 25 at Bluebird of Marysville following many months of failing health.
She was a retired sales clerk from the local Sears Catalog Store. Following Sears, she was employed at Truitt & Truitt Optometrists and also retired from there.
She was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church where she served on the Ladies Aid Committee and was active in St. John’s Quilters. A very social and outgoing person, she always had a beaming smile on her face and was always ready to talk with anyone.
She was born July 4, 1930 in Columbus to the late Robert Truitt and Geneva Clark Truitt. She married Loren Kasper May 15, 1948 at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 27 years, Loren; their children, Linda L. (Ronnie) Boerger of Plain City, Carolyn A. (Herb) French of Sheridan, Wyoming and Gary L. (Marilou) Kasper of Marysville; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis Williamson of Plain City and Shirley Hendricks of Marysville; a brother, John (Jane) Truitt of Fredericktown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a private family service and burial. A public gathering of family and friends will take place and be announced at a later time. Ingram Funeral Home is completing arrangements.
