David S. Woodworth, age 75, of Newburgh, Indiana, formerly of Marysville, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. He retired in 2003 from Nestle as purchasing manager after an association with the company of 35 years. David was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Marysville where he served as Elder and Deacon. An adult volunteer for Unionville Center Boy Scout Troop No. 125, he traveled in 1988 to Philmont in New Mexico with the troop of which is son, Eric, was a member. David also served on the Fairbanks and Tolles Technical Center school boards. He was born March 9, 1946 in Delaware County, Ohio to the late Charles and Bertie Blankenship Woodworth. He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Vernon Martin and his sister-in-law, Delores Woodworth. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sandy Ward Woodworth, whom he married April 17, 1971 at Central College Presbyterian Church in Westerville; his son Eric (Maria) Woodworth of Newburgh, Indiana; three grandchildren Ethan, Sydney and Wyatt; a sister, Rose Ann Martin of Marysville; his brothers, Robert (Joyce) Woodworth of Florence, South Carolina, John (Janet) Woodworth of Marysville and Charles Woodworth of Milford Center; a brother-in-law, Larry (Evelyn) Ward of North Pole, Alaska; a sister-in-law, Linda White of Canal Winchester; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
